Adult Christian Growth
The Adult Christian Growth Ministry provides opportunities and programs for members and guests to nurture their spiritual souls. There are groups which are just for women and a men’s group, as well as those which are open to all. Through classes, films, groups and outings, individuals can continue their faith journey well beyond Sunday morning worship services.
As you become involved, look for ways to enhance your experience at Faith.
Youth Christian Growth
The Youth Christian Growth Ministry is responsible for the Christian education and fellowship of children from age 3 through High School. This is done through Sunday School classes, Youth Fellowship, Children’s Choir, and
Sunday School classes for children from Pre-K through Middle School are held during the worship service, while the High School students have class before worship.
Children through 5th grade participate in the Children’s Choir, which meets twice a month prior to Sunday School classes. The Children’s Choir periodically sings during the worship service and puts on a Christmas program each year.
Fellowship for the younger children through 5th grade is through Kid’s Club. They meet every other month and play games, hear Bible stories, do crafts and enjoy snacks. There is an Easter Egg Hunt every spring and a Fall Fest in the fall for the kids. The Senior High fellowship consists of two to three trips each year, monthly pizza party meetings and numerous fund raisers. During their January retreat to Cedarkirk, the Senior High students plan the annual Youth Sunday service.
All age groups participate in
Deacons
The Board of Deacons consists of 12 elected members who serve for a period of three (3) years. Each deacon is assigned 1/12th of the total congregation, which is referred to as ‘their flock’. The Deacons’ responsibility is to maintain contact and communication with members of the church and regular attendees by informing them of special events, greeting them at worship and other activities, and informing the Pastor of any special circumstances or any difficulties that may arise. The deacons visit and minister the sick and shut-in, and provide comfort and care for those who are bereaved.
Fellowship
The Fellowship Ministry is the church group which coordinates “Fellowship” activities – i.e. “the fun-social things”! The congregation has had the opportunity to go bowling, attend Marlins games, go to plays, movie night/pot luck dinners and most recently meeting and dining at various area restaurants.
If you have an activity in mind, or an idea for a group, please attend a Fellowship meeting and present your idea. The committee will consider your suggestion and provide guidance.
